If it’s possible try to move your vehicle to the side of the road to avoid further accidents, call the police, if there are no injuries you can report the accident using the Dubai police app. Failing to report an accident can result in huge fines.
If the damage is minor, e.g. it’s a scratch or dent, it doesn’t affect the vehicle operation or safety, and you are allowed to drive it however, if your vehicle has been significantly damaged such as windshield, frame or systems like steering or brakes you are not allowed to drive it. The police will impound the vehicle if it’s unsafe to drive.
Driving with an expired car registration license in Dubai can result in fines of up to 500 AED and black points added to your driving record. If the registration is over three months late, your vehicle may be impounded.
